Tropical Storm Nicole Services Update

Tropical Storm Update

In the wake of Tropical Storm Nicole, Neptune Beach City Hall will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, November 10th, and Friday, November 11th, in observance of Veterans Day.

In preparation for the storm, the City of Neptune Beach has opened a sandbagging station for its residents today, Wednesday, November 9th, from 1 pm- 4 pm at the site of the Neptune Beach Senior Activity Center, 2004 Forest Avenue.  Residents are asked to check in first next door at the Neptune Beach Public Works facility at 2010 Forest Avenue.  Residents are asked to bring their own shovels and will be allowed ten sandbags per household.  A valid picture ID or a current utility bill will be required as proof of residency.  Sand will be distributed on a first-come-first-served  basis for as long as the supply lasts.

Also, Waste Pro will not be servicing the City of Neptune Beach tomorrow, Thursday, November 10th, due to the approaching storm.  Regular garbage and recycling collections will resume on Friday, November 11th; missed Thursday collections will be recovered on Saturday, November 12th.  With the threat of high winds, please store your trash and recycling receptacles securely.
