Stormwater

Responsibilities

The City's Public Works Division is responsible for complying with a Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) permit issued by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP). The City's MS4 includes inspections and maintenance of the following items:

  • Approximately 36 miles of ditches;
  • Approximately 308 inlets;
  • Storm sewers;
  • Culverts;
  • 6 pond or dry retention systems;
  • Approximately 16 miles of r-o-w maintenance including litter collection;
  • Street sweeping approximately 11 miles of road with curb and gutter, and other stormwater facilities.
