NOTIFICATION: Atlantic Beach and Neptune Beach residents who have registered their vehicles previously are not required to re-register for a new permit or use a Kiosk, Mobile Pay, or QR Codes to take advantage of their 4 free hours of parking.

North Beaches Parking Program was developed as a cooperative effort between the Cities of Neptune Beach, Atlantic Beach, and the various agencies that service the shared Town Center. The intent program is to create a data driven, market based, self-sustaining parking management program for the Beaches Town Center. City parking spaces are located throughout the Beaches Town Center. Paid parking runs from 11 am to midnight. Payment can be made directly by scanning the QR code on the signs or at one of the many kiosks.

 

Resident Parking FAQs

North Beaches Parking System Upgrades

The North Beaches Parking Program recently transitioned to a new parking vendor system. Residents and visitors will notice the following changes throughout our Beaches Town Center.

What’s Changed:

  • New Parking Kiosks: All existing kiosks have been replaced with upgraded machines.
  • Updated Payment Options: Parking payments will be accepted at the new kiosks or through a mobile pay option—no app download required. Note: The Flowbird App will no longer be used.
  • New Signage: All parking signs have been replaced with new signage.

Key Information for Residents

  • Permit Migration: All valid Atlantic Beach and Neptune Beach resident permits will automatically transfer into the new vendor system and remain valid through December 2026.
  • New Permit Applications: Beginning December 10, 2025, new resident parking permit applications must be submitted online through the new North Beaches Parking Patron Portal. Residents who do not have access to online services may register in person at the North Beaches Parking Office, located at the northeast corner of the Neptune Beach Police Department.

Free Resident Permits: Resident parking permits remain free of charge.
Permit Benefits

  • Up to 4 hours of free parking per visit for each permitted vehicle
  • Permits valid for three years

Renewals: Residents must re-register every three years to maintain eligibility.

Vehicle Limit: Each household/address may register up to five vehicles.

Required Proof of Residency: Applicants must upload:

  1. A valid driver’s license or state ID showing an Atlantic Beach or Neptune Beach address, and
  2. A current vehicle registration with the same address

Each registered vehicle must include its own vehicle registration.

Active-Duty Military Personnel (with out-of-state documentation)

Active-duty military applicants must provide:

  • A valid military ID, and
  • A lease agreement, mortgage document, or utility bill showing an Atlantic Beach or Neptune Beach address, in addition to their vehicle registration.

Parking Rates & Fines

  • $2.50 per hour, every day from 11:00 AM to midnight
  • All parking violations are subject to a $60.00 fine

North Beaches Parking Program – Important Note

North Beaches Parking is managed by the City of Neptune Beach Police Department, which oversees parking enforcement in both Atlantic Beach and Neptune Beach within the Beaches Town Center area. However, North Beaches Parking is not affiliated with the City of Atlantic Beach’s separate parking program for the 18th and 19th Street beach access parking locations. Atlantic Beach residents seeking information or wishing to register for parking at those locations must use the City of Atlantic Beach’s official resources:

Valet parking at the Beaches Town Center is complimentary for customers of the following businesses, provided you get your ticket validated:

  • Island Girl Cigar Bar
  • Mezza Luna
  • AB Kitchen
  • North Beach Fish Camp
  • Fig & Willow
  • Jax Surf & Paddle

For area visitors who do not receive validation from a business, the valet parking fee is typically $40.

Private pay-to-park lots cost $3 an hour for the first three hours, then increase to $5 an hour.
