How do I resolve a parking violation citation?

Handicap Parking Violations

If you received a parking citation in violation of Handicap Parking, you have the following options:

  1. Set a court date to contest the citation, by appearing at the Office of the Clerk with your citation.
  2. Pay the citation at the Neptune Beach Police Department Building during regular business hours, or mail in the applicable fine.
  3. If you have a handicap decal and forgot to display it, you must, in person, appear at the Neptune Beach Police Building and see the Sergeant on duty or a Police Commander. It is recommended that you call first to ensure they are available. Be sure to bring in your citation and your handicap decal.

If you do not choose to take any of these options, and the citation remains unanswered, the department is authorized by the State of Florida to submit your name, vehicle license number and violation to the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles in Tallahassee. DHSMV will then flag your vehicle license to indicate an outstanding citation. When you apply for a new vehicle license, you will be denied until the citation is resolved.

Parking citations do not add points to your driving record.
