Penman Road Complete Streets Improvement Project

This project involves improvements along Penman Road between the intersections of Beach Boulevard and Atlantic Boulevard. The Penman Road corridor is located within the 3 communities of Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach, and terminating within Atlantic Beach.  This project includes multiple safety improvements converting several intersections to a roundabout configuration to allow traffic calming and mitigate high-crash locations. These improvements also include the installation of over 20 mid block crossings and a shared use path on the east side of Penman Road for school children and beach goers to utilize. These improvements will provide a safer environment for drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists as an all-inclusive design.
